THE DREAM

The date is Sept. 19, 1998. The dream was early this AM, just before waking. It was a dream that I found very interesting, and it was heavy upon my mind as I awakened. The Lord then seemed to spill into my heart the symbolism of the dream.

There was a huge fish, most likely a whale. She was gigantic, and she rolled over upon her back in the water. As she did so, the observer could see innumerable slits in her tummy, wherein each slit had a smaller fish. Suddenly a small portion of the fish within the slits were propelled into the air and disappeared. As this happened, others tried as well to jump up, but they were not airborne, and fell into the water and most of them swam away. However, a few of those who fell back to the water were overcome by fear and swam back to the mother fish and burrowed themselves back down into the slits from whence they came. Soon predators came along. They begun to raid the slits of the mother fish. As they pulled forth fish at this time, those which they pulled forth assumed the personage of a piece of lemon, and were devoured by the predators. Yet a small portion remained still in the slits of the mother fish. Eventually the predators seemed to have their fill, and for a time left the others as they were. Later, however, these predators returned and raided the mother fish yet again. Those fish which remained were pulled from her, and were not changed in personage. They were still as fish. They too were now devoured by the predators, until there were no more fish whatsoever remaining in the mother fish.

As I pondered this dream, all the symbolism became immediately apparent to me. The gigantic mother fish was the "church" at large. The little fish within her were all the Believers who  compose her. Those fish who were propelled from her into the air were Believers who would go to heaven in the first Rapture. They were found to be ready when the appointed time came (as foreshadowed by the taking of Enoch in Genesis 5:24). Those who tried to jump up but could not go airborne and fell into the water, thought they were ready, but found that they were not. They knew from Biblical passages that they should retreat to a place of safety in the wilderness prepared for them by the Father (Revelation 12:6) where they would be cared for and nourished by Him till "He returned for them at the second Rapture that would occur in a few years. During that time, they would mature in their belief and walk with the Lord. (This was foreshadowed by the Ark which would protect Noah from the storms of His day.) A few fish, however, were frightened, and could not face the wilderness, so they went back to the security of the mother fish "church". The majority of all the fishes (Believers) still remained in the mother "church" at this time. Predators soon attacked the mother church with great deception (Revelation 13:13 & Matthew 24:4). Many of the fish within the mother fish would believe the lie of the predators due to their lack of maturity in God and their rejection of His Truth (II Thessalonians 2:8-12). [Note - The church taught only a corrupted version of God's Truth, so they could only find this total truth by searching the Scriptures and listening to the Holy Spirit speak to their hearts. However, because these Believers, had instead chosen the comfort of the apostate mother fish (church) and neglected to seek God's deeper Truth, they were made by God Himself to believe the lie. They would ultimately worship the false Christ (Revelation 13:12-14) and would receive his mark (Revelation 13:16). In this way the predators would win over them (consume them), because the penalty for being deceived in this way would be to suffer the fate of being cast into the fire when they reach the judgment seat of Christ. These fish were the ones who took on the personage of a lemon, sour to God, and fit only for the predators. A smaller portion of those left in the mother church would have begun to find and embrace the deeper Truth of God, so they would not be made by God to believe the "lie". They would remain hidden there for a time until the predators return for them. The predators would return, however, and then these fish too would be consumed. The predators will kill them because they will not take the mark of the false Christ and for the testimony which they held (Revelation 6:9). At this point there would be no more fish found in the mother fish. The only fish (Believers) to escape the false Christ will be those who were taken to heaven in the first Rapture, and those who swam away from the mother fish while they had the chance.

May God be with you as you ask Him to search your heart and reveal to you where you stand in the understanding and willingness to accept the deeper Truth of His Word. The mother fish will not be a safe place to be very soon!
