TO FLEE OR NOT TO FLEE
In Genesis 32:28 we find that Jacob's name is changed to Israel. Now Jacob had 12 children. All of these 12 children are descendants of Israel, and can fall under the various Biblical designations described AS Israel. However, within these designations, we would consider a typological pattern established by God's Word. His Word refers at times to three separate categories as they would relate to people. They are: 1) Kingdom (which implies geographical and/or leadership considerations) 2) Tribe (which follows blood lineage) and 3) House (which connotes a spiritual application). Thus the Word may in one place say the Kingdom of Judah, in another it might say the Tribe of Judah, and in yet a third it might say the House of Judah. Each connotation would be different from the other, and may include different people under its umbrella. History tells us that Judah, Simeon, and half of Benjamin formed the Southern Kingdom, and it was called Judah. The remaining nine tribes plus the other half of Benjamin became the northern tribes. They were scattered, becoming known as the lost ten tribes of Israel, the Northern Kingdom, called Israel. Therefore, the Kingdom of Israel does not include ALL of the descendants of Israel (Jacob), as the Southern Kingdom is separate from the Northern Kingdom in Biblical reckoning. Likewise, when the Bible designates the House of Israel vs. the House of Judah, the same breakdown is usually thought to apply. Thus the House of Judah would include a spiritual grouping of Judah, Simeon, and half of Benjamin, and the House of Israel would be the diverse spiritual umbrella which covers the rest of the descendants of Jacob.
Though the concept of whole and partial groupings are confusing in the Word, and not always consistent when going from one Book of the Bible to another, we can use these general guidelines to help us understand what the Bible says in many areas. One such area describes the Houses of Israel and Judah in the Book of Jeremiah. In my estimation, it appears that these two houses in Jeremiah have mini umbrellas under them. The House of Israel includes the House of Joseph, the House of Benjamin, and others. Then the House of Joseph contains the House of Ephraim and the House of Manasseh. Though the spiritual House of Benjamin will not be treated the same as the spiritual House of Manasseh, they are sometimes lumped together for simplicity's sake. Thus the houses of Benjamin, Joseph, Ephraim, and Manasseh, as well as the spiritual houses of other sons of Jacob are sometimes lumped together as the House of Israel. We will be looking at the House of Israel in the first seven chapters of Jeremiah, so before we begin, I would like to subdivide the House of Israel into some groupings which relate to the children and grandchildren of Rachel. Benjamin means "Son of the Right Hand". I believe he represents the portion of this house who "watches and waits for his blessed hope", and who earns the title of "son". (John 1:12 says that Believers are given the POWER to BECOME sons of God. It does not say that they automatically BECOME sons.) Benjamin represents the portion of the Body of Christ who utilize this power and BECOME sons. Joseph represents the spiritual umbrella of the corporate church at large who lag behind in their achievement of the title of sons. Joseph had two sons, so this corporate body is divided into two more groupings. Ephraim means "double fruitful". Those who believe and bear fruit of the Spirit, but fall short for a time of the status of sons fall under this umbrella. Manasseh means "forgetful", and those who forget the ways of God and fall into apostasy fall under this umbrella. They will fail to achieve this title. It may be that the Body of Christ is now being classified in just such a manner by the Holy Spirit!
One day the two kingdoms will be restored as a whole under Christ, but first, the various segments must be handled separately. Let's look to Jeremiah to see how this might come about.
Jeremiah 1:11-12 speaks of a rod of an almond tree. Nowhere in this text do we find what this is supposed to symbolize, but we see that it is of major importance, as God specifically asks Jeremiah what he sees, and when Jeremiah says he sees the rod of an almond tree, God says:
12) ... Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
Jeremiah 1:12
Perform what? The text doesn't say. It is another mystery tucked into the lines of our Biblical text. We should recall, however that Aaron's rod that budded was usually thought to be from an almond tree. It is found within the Ark of the Covenant (per Hebrews 9:4). I must look at the transport of this Ark filled with the First Fruits of the Body of Christ, and wonder if this transport isn't the implication here that God will soon PERFORM. You see, the Tribulation is about to break forth, and it is time for their departure. In 1:13-15 we find a seething pot, and see that evil will come from the north. I would reiterate here that this may be a galactic north rather than a global north, and the repeated reference to these beings throughout the Book seems to indicate this strong potential. Then in 2:3 we read:
3) Israel was holiness unto the Lord, and the firstfruits of his increase: ....
Jeremiah 2:3
Whereas I view the House of Benjamin as the First Fruits, this would fit the text here, as they are of the House of Israel. They are those who will be accounted as worthy in Luke 21:36 due to their holiness. They are overcomers in this present world.
In Jeremiah 2:13 we find the text which states that God's people have rejected His fountain of living water and hewed out broken cisterns which can hold no water. The energy which flows through the Ida and Pingala and through the chakra cisterns is not living water. This system cannot hold the living water. Only the Sushumna can hold it, but this group of His own people has rejected His way, and embraced the dualistic system of the world in place of it. Some will not be able to be cleansed by washing, but will have to endure flames in order to be purified. Unfortunately, many of the corporate Body of Christ may fall prey to the seduction of these energies for a time, and some will fail to realize what they have done and repent, thus they will face some very unpleasant times down the road! Believers who receive, revere, and utilize the Tree 2 energies of Ida and Pingala put themselves in grave danger for harsh judgment and consequences. Jeremiah 2:21-23 indicate that those who have done so were planted as a noble vine, wholly a right seed, but they had become a degenerate plant of a strange vine, and even washing them does not help. They were grafted into the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29), and made every whit whole when the Holy Spirit came in to abide within them. They were to be a noble vine, but refused to be infused only by the living water, embracing instead the Tree 2 energies, and becoming a degenerate plant of a strange vine which would be rejected by God. Even God's "washing" cannot clean them. The implication here may be that flames will be needed after a certain point!
In Jeremiah 3:6-19 we see that the house of Israel is in harlotry. God pleads with His people to repent, for He is married to them! Then the Bible shows what will happen when the First Fruits are taken home. He speaks here of the division of the Body of Christ at this time, for some have come out of their harlotry and into repentance and holiness. Others yet refuse to do so. We read in 3:12-15 that God will take one of a city, and two of a family and bring them to Zion where they will be pastored and taught knowledge and understanding. This is not a numerical formula, but rather phraseology which indicates a gathering from various families and locations all who compose the First Fruits worthy of harvest. Even as The Secrets of Enoch indicates that he was taken up to the heavenlies, and instructed, so may this group be. Indeed Enoch's departure is our shadow type of the First Fruits Harvest. In 4:31, we find evidence that the time for this harvest is about to occur. The voice of the woman in travail is heard giving birth to the first born child (i.e. the First Fruits corporate body) which will be harvested per Revelation 12:5, which shows him being caught up to God and to His throne. The next verse in Jeremiah is found in 5:1, and indicates that those who execute judgment and seek truth will be pardoned. This describes those being born, and their pardon from the trials to come is through their departure to God and to His throne. Those who refused to receive correction will be left behind to be spoiled (verses 3-6) due to their transgressions and backsliding. Jeremiah 6:1 shows us the catching away of the corporate First Fruits child. Here we read:
1) O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
Jeremiah 6:1
There are four proper names in this text: Benjamin, Jerusalem, Tekoah, and Beth-haccerem. We will look at them one at a time. Benjamin means "son of the right hand". Since this is singular, the plural form designated by the word "children" before this proper name might prompt the understanding of plurality in the meaning of the noun it represents. Thus children could be dropped, and we would have "sons of the right hand" for the proper noun. Jerusalem means "Foundation of Peace". We see in verse 14 of this chapter that the foundation of peace at this time is a false one. Jerusalem here would likely refer to this platform of false peace. Tekoa means "fix one's tent". The Tabernacle of God is a tent, and we have a Tabernacle or tent within us where the Holy Spirit resides. Those who have yielded to the Holy Spirit have thus allowed their tent or Tabernacle to be fixed. Beth-haccerem means "house of the vine". We have just covered the concept of the vine. The house of the vine would be Earth where the vine is located. We would also note the significance of the blowing of the trumpet and the setting up of a sign of fire. The watchmen are alerting the people of approaching attack. It is simultaneous with this attack that the First Fruits translation will occur - at the sound of the trumpet! So, we might repeat this verse, allowing for an alternate, but legitimate and appropriate translation for the word "in", and substituting the meanings discussed above for the proper nouns. Doing so, we see the following: O ye sons of the right hand, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of this foundation of false peace. Blow the trumpet for the Tabernacles which have been fixed and set up a sign in the house of the vine: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
So, it might behoove each of us to evaluate the condition of our own internal Tabernacles. Are they fixed, or at least under repair? Are we yielding to the Holy Spirit in order to have the stumbling blocks removed so the living water can begin to flow through the Sushumna once again? Will that trumpet be blown for us so we can gather to flee the trouble to come? Verse 17 indicates that the watchmen had been trying to get the people to hearken to the sound of the trumpet, but they would not. If the trumpet is blown for us will we hearken?
I have heard some say that they want to be here to take on the Anti Christ figures and system. They want to be martyrs or go down fighting. While this sounds noble, it may not be what GOD wants for us. He has prepared a wedding feast, and He doesn't want to hear excuses why we can't or won't attend. He wants us to be ready and willing to go when we're called. In reference to those who declined to go to the wedding supper when asked to attend, Yeshua says in Luke 14:24:
24) ... None of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
Luke 14:24
II Timothy 4:8 tells us that there is a crown of righteousness for those who love his appearing (i.e. those who are looking for their blessed hope Titus 2:13). Where are our priorities? The desire to stay and fight is the drive for power and dominance of chakra 3 that we are to overcome as we transform with chakra 4. We must not get stuck in chakra 3 and fail to advance to chakra 4 where we are presented to Yeshua. We must not choose ANY role in this world ahead of the position He has planned for us in the next!
