NEW AGE IN OUR AGE - RELIGION (Part 1 of 2)

We hear the term New Age often, but what is it, and how new is New Age? Who's behind it, what does it represent, and just how does it affect the Christian? New Age is a dangerous movement that has blatantly taken many of the atheistic and humanistic segments of our country by storm, yet it has moved through our churches with the subtle stealth of a killer who befriends a child, and offers him candy coated cyanide. It has many facets and faces, but its roots are not new at all. They can be traced back to the Druid and Celtic heritage, and on back to the paganism that preceded the walk of our Lord and Savior upon the Earth. The only thing about New Age is it's name, and some of it's tactics. Let's take a look at it.

Samantha Smith is a nationally recognized Christian investigative researcher, journalist, author, and lecturer. In The Prophecy Club Newsletter she states: "The New Age Movement is the maturing of the hippie movement and the human potential movement."

It is an umbrella that shelters a number of beliefs: Western occultism, Eastern mysticism, paganism, pantheism, humanism, and various other "isms". If it feels good do it; live and let live; don't worry, be happy! There are no absolutes, but there is a core "moral code" of sorts that emphasizes open-mindedness. They embrace any belief or religious concept whatsoever EXCEPT one which sets absolutes and is not "tolerant" of "other roads" to God. They take the "all roads lead to Rome" approach to godship. Fundamental Christians who take a stand that the only reconciliation with God is through the blood of Yeshua, and maintain Biblical standards of right and wrong as absolutes are NOT accepted under their umbrella.

An incredibly large portion of the media today (which has been significantly influenced by the New Age Movement) now targets fundamental Christians as being intolerant right-winged radical extremists, and even (by many reports) cultists. As a matter of a fact, I personally viewed an Oprah Winfrey show in which (to my astonishment) she rather emphatically implied that any religious group which views "man" as having a sin nature and unacceptable to God in his initial Estate (thereby objecting to the inherent GOODNESS of mankind), is a cult. If my memory serves me correctly, this assessment by Oprah brought a huge round of applause. This is the New Age view, and is MUCH more common than the sheltered Christian wants to believe. We are currently just in the name calling stage, but this can easily and rapidly escalate (as it did in Germany under Hitler). Ethnic cleansing can be the end result of such extensively promoted bias propaganda.

In John Hagee's book Beginning of the End, he states: "Christian bashing is already an art form in the popular media. Christians are the only group in America that it is politically correct to hate, discriminate, and lampoon. ... No other group of people on the earth are so constantly maligned on prime-time television. Persistent portrayals of Christians and clergymen as lechers, murderers, and psychopaths betray the deep-seated hostility the media has toward Christianity and faith in God."

To further examine this belief structure, let's look back to Genesis and focus on the first two lies passed off to mankind by the father of Lies -- Satan! Genesis 3:4-5 gives us this information: 4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. 5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Hard core New Agers believe that when one dies they will come back to live again in a body and lifestyle that will bring them closer to "Christ Consciousness" or perfection. We know it as reincarnation. Because of this belief, the value of human life is almost nil. They have a rather frivolous view of death, and in their eyes, murder really isn't TOO terrible! After all, the one who was murdered may come back in a better life next time! Besides (remember now) there are no absolute wrongs!

If there are no absolute rights and wrongs, then the principles of perfection or "Christ Consciousness" for which they strive are also relative. But relative to what?

John Ankerberg & John Weldon's Encyclopedia of New Age Beliefs says regarding New Age: "The New Age Movement, with a collective following in the tens of millions, has also been powerfully influenced by Hinduism. In many respects the philosophy of the New Age Movement parallels that of Hinduism."

Many people of the Hindu faith wear an ornament or mark of some nature in the middle of their forehead called a shakra. This may not only indicate their personal status in the Hindu "caste" system, but designates the existence of a "third eye" called the "Eye of Osiris". Per Baker's Concise Dictionary of Religion, Osiris was the Egyptian god of the afterlife, known as: "god of gods, king of kings, lord of lords ... everlasting."

Another version of the All Seeing "Eye of Osiris" can be found on the reverse side of the United States one dollar bill. It sits atop a pyramid. (We discuss the significance of this in the study on New Age Government.) This third eye is to be the point of contact between the Hindu and the Spirit world. The Hindus seek to achieve the truly enlightened state of self divinity. They believe that the body is an illusion, and the mind is evil and should be reformatted to realize the ultimate destiny of Christ Consciousness or individual godhood If the mind is destroyed during this process, or the person becomes demonicly possessed, so be it. The goal must be achieved, or the life will just be recycled to try again. Many avenues are used to achieve this end, but the most common ones require an altered state of consciousness. One such avenue is simply called meditation.

The Bible speaks of meditation, but we are to "meditate" upon God's Word, and our relationship with God, we are never told in the Bible to make our minds "blank" and await a spiritual experience. Thus the difference between Biblical meditation and the Hindu/New Age style of meditation. During their time of meditation, they focus (through their third eye) upon the spirit world in expectation, then blank their minds to give the spirit world an opportunity to respond. They are taught how to achieve a trance-like state, which now occurs. They can now receive a messages from the spirit world to help them see the road to perfection, or Christ Consciousness, as depicted by that spirit. Note, it is NOT necessary to have the third eye physically represented on the forehead in any way in order to enter into this spiritual interaction.

New Agers have a pantheistic view of God. It is basically the belief that God is in ALL things (from rocks to human beings). Accordingly, the Earth itself is a living being and the "Christians" have promoted abuse of "her" for years now. They view industrialization and the "poisoned" mindset of much of humankind as malignancies that must be surgically removed (AND SOON) if we are to save Mother Earth.

Again quoting Samantha Smith in The Prophecy Club Newsletter: "The Spirit side of environmentalism involves nature worship and a direct relationship between witchcraft and ecology. The environmental movement has a pagan agenda; to convince society that the Earth is alive, a living interconnected organism which requires the protection of a world government."

To paraphrase more of her article, she indicates that New Agers have come to believe that  everything is alive, sacred, imbued with a soul, and that nature spirits can communicate with us. This people worship many gods and goddesses, and believe that there is a living energy that permeates everything -- a god-energy. This is Pantheism. Also mentioned is our vice president (Al Gore), in reference to his belief that a return to goddess worshipping religions will bring both planetary and personal salvation.

She continues by saying: "Earth Day has played a major role in society's mindset about the environment. Prior to Earth Day 1990, few knew that Mother Earth was about to croak. Earth Day did what it was designed to do: It was an exercise in thought reform and behavior modification of an entire nation. It told us the Earth was decaying and HUMAN BEINGS, industry, and development were the reasons. There are TOO MANY PEOPLE on the Earth, using up all the resources. It created a form of hysteria, instilled guilt and fear-of-the-future and an urgent sense of personal and corporate responsibility - a need to DO SOMETHING QUICK."

Thus, we come to rewilding. Because she is such a powerful source, we'll quote from Samantha's article one more time. She says: "Wilderness areas and national parks have been predesignated to be set aside and used eventually as collateral in a giant global land-for-debt swap, to set up an international economic system. A World Conservation Bank will end up owing over 34% of the world's and and rich resources, when the debts cannot be repaid."

The Prophetic Observer speaks of it's guidelines: "Al Gore ... expresses belief that Christianity and the other major monotheistic religious beliefs cannot meet the needs of a contemporary society, and presses for a "panreligious perspective" for our future oneworld religion. The United Nations' Global Biodiversity Assessment (GBA) (a 1,140 page document) suggests the abolition of Biblical concepts as They relate to society, and the "adoption of the values of pre-Christian pagan societies. The idea is to use our already existing national parks and wildlife refuges as "core wilderness" areas. Once these areas have been established, the "Ecos" will move for the establishment of "buffer zones" around them, in effect making the current parks considerably larger then interconnecting them with "wildlife corridors". ... the direction being taken by the current administration in Washington in cooperation with the United Nations' Agenda 21, a radical environmentalist program for changing the usage of at least one-half of the land area of the continental United States, designed to remove industry and private property, or to, as they say "rewild" the continental U.S. The biodiversity will "also require radical population control." The Wild-lands radicals are eagerly advancing the UN/Clinton administration design, demanding the complete eradication of local and state jurisdictions and eventually, national borders ... The U.S. is currently being divided into 21 bioregions, and current federal policy is to eradicate county and state boundaries by subsuming them into continuous "ecosystems". Integrating law and conservation biology, ROAD-RIP seeks to work with grassroots activists and through public agencies to achieve road removal and revegetation in national forests, parks, and other public lands. This has already been done in several national parks, and the organization is seeking to move beyond the boundaries of governmentally controlled lands."

According to the map referenced in this article, all but 18 of the states in the continental U.S. have been slated for SOME degree of rewilding, and large areas of many of these states and some ENTIRE states will be off limits to human habitation. Anyone living there now will simply be forced to "relocate" at their own expense to an area that is not so designated. It will not be optional, and operation RoadRip will destroy access in and out of these designated areas.

Flash Point is a newsletter ministry of Texe Marrs. He is known for his rather brash writing and speaking style, and does not make the slightest attempt to soft-pedal the presentation of his views. The harshness of his brief and to the point clips, however, sometimes wakes us up. Take for example his assessment of the rewilding process: "A little known U.N. project called the 'Rewilding of America' is now underway. Lands will be confiscated from individual owners under the pretext of protecting the environment, Preserving endangered species, and insuring biological diversity. Over 80 percent of America's developed lands will be made uninhabited. Hundreds of thousands of homes, arms, ranches even entire towns and cities will be abandoned and turned into eerie ghost towns and habitats. Businesses and factories will be closed. Existing roads and highways will be destroyed and graded over. Vast territories will become empty and inaccessible 'No Man's Lands' ... The U.S. population will be forcibly pushed and crowded into undesirable 'megacities'. Citizens who refuse to obey will be sent to concentration camps for education and internment. We will be told that this is being done "for our own good" create a sustainable environment" and "save the world from ecological disaster. A top secret government project, called the Man and Biosphere (MAB) program, will end American sovereignty. The lands and territory once known as the United States will be Emerged into the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. The MAB program is run by UNESCO, the socialist arm of the United Nations. Federal agencies are already implementing its directives."

David J. Smith, author of the very intriguing TV program and news magazine called Newswatch, verifies that indeed these concentration camps have already been prepared, complete with  execution and elimination facilities. Posted at the door of these encampments is the same ominous symbol of the All Seeing "Eye of Osiris" over the pyramid that we find on the reverse side of our one dollar bill.

In Unraveling the New World Order, a newsletter of FAMC, Inc. Services, we find the following: "The U.N. plan calls for a World Conference on Global Governance in 1998 for the purpose of submitting to the world the necessary treaties and agreements for ratification and implementation by the year 2000. This 420 page report is entitled, Our Global Neighborhood. It was published by the Oxford University Press ... Listen to what constitutes the global commons as defined in the report: 'the atmosphere, outer space, the oceans, and the related environmental and life support systems that contribute to the support of human life.' This definition embraces virtually all biodiversity on Earth and places it under the control of the U.N. Trusteeship Council."

It sounds as though the New Agers are intent to remove the malignancy of industrialization as soon as they possibly can, and that they may have the control they need to do so! COME SOON DEAR LORD!

Let's take a peak at Exodus 20:35 and Romans 1:24-27: "3) Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5) Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 24) Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: 25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did ! change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."

We have a major segment of society now that worships "Mother Earth". Is there any reason (based upon these verses) to be surprised at the explosion of the gay movement today? It appears to be a by-product of the New Age Movement, and is condoned and supported by even non-gay New agers.

When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets, and love will rule the stars. It is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius ...

Yes, New Agers believe in Astrology, and they believe that the Age of Aquarius IS upon us. It will be the age of peace that will last 1000 years, and they are planning its arrival on January 1, 2000 (if not before). You see, they do believe in the teachings of the Bible, except that they eliminate what they don't like, and change the rest to acknowledge their beliefs. They DO believe loosely in the Millennial Kingdom, but they believe that THEY will usher in this era of peace through the achievement of a universal Christ Consciousness, and that the ultimate manifestation of this Christ Consciousness will rule them in incarnate form. They are ready to receive their Christ, the one the Bible refers to as the Anti Christ. Benjamin Creme (a New Age prophet who is a kind of counterfeit "John the Baptist" for the New Age "Messiah") claims that this Christ is alive. His name is Maitreya. According to Benjamin, Maitreya is waiting behind the scenes even now, living in a flat in London. An audio tape by the LaLonde brothers ministry shared that Benjamin had called them, personally expressing his rage that the Christians were preventing Maitreya's appearance. He did not say exactly HOW we were preventing Maitreya's appearance, just that we were. Could II Thessalonians 2:6-7 have any bearing on this? There we read: "6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way."

The LaLonde brothers indicated that they felt extremely honored to be partially responsible for the ability of Maitreya to appear. Benjamin explains that when he DOES appear, he will inaugurate great new world religion and at the very most sacred core of that new world religion would be the process which is called the esoteric initiations which take us out of the strictly human kingdom into the kingdom of God. David Spangler (Board member of the Planetary Initiative for the World we Choose, a by-product of the United Nations) declares that Lucifer is the same force as Christ, that Lucifer prepares us for our own Christhood that this is the final Luciferic initiation into the New Age. Note, this is not to say that Maitreya is the false Christ, but the stage is certainly being set for the one who will assume that position!

Also under the golf sized umbrella of New Age, we find Western occultism and Eastern mysticism. They fit nicely together in the belief that we should reach out and learn from our "ascended masters", which can be accomplished via the type of meditation we mentioned before. Throughout history people have gone to mediums and seances to talk to the dead, but only recently has the New Age managed to make it become fashionable to do so. They have scrapped the mediums, and successfully linked the undiscerning seeker to the spirit world directly through meditation. It is also called channeling, and the one in the spirit world who responds to the seeker is referred to as the spirit guide. These guides are usually said to be "ascended masters" or "wise "ones" who have gone into the hereafter ahead of us, and they impart to their seekers all the truths that they will need to know in order to live on this Earth and to prepare for the hereafter. A spirit guide will appear to each seeker and move about and speak to the seeker much as a character in a play communicates with the audience. Though all of this occurs through the mental process, the interaction is VERY REAL, and the communication is VERY DISTINCT. These "masters" invariably instruct the seekers to develop their minds by way of the mind sciences (such as ESP, telekinesis, telepathy, etc.). They tell them how to achieve perfection or Christ Consciousness, referred to as Nirvana by Hindus.

New Age is being promoted in our children's classrooms at an alarming rate, and coupled with the New Age cartoons and toys on the market, our children are bombarded with it from every angle. One of the most frightening aspects of New Age being presented to our little ones in the classroom, however, is channeling. Even three and four year old preschool children are often initiated into the occult by this door without knowledge or consent of the parents or society at large. They are being taught to channel these spirits in the classrooms of our public schools. The euphemism for channeling used by the school systems today is "guided imagery". Older children are sometimes subjected to such classroom games as Dungeons and Dragons via the computers in ,|their rooms (particularly the exceptional students on both ends of the scale). Some states have reached the saturation level of New Age in the classrooms, while others lag slightly behind. Children in innumerable schools across the country are being systematically deprogrammed of any Christian concepts, and reprogrammed to become model, spiritually interactive, pagan, global community citizens. Per Personal Update (a newsletter of Koinonia House) we read: "HR6 (already law) established a National School Board which will set national outcomes that will be imposed on the states. The states will be forced to comply by withholding federal money from states which don't."

This system of national outcome accountability is commonly referred to as Outcome Based Education (OBE) or America 2000, and the outcome objectives are mind-boggling. All learning initiatives in the sense we've always known are scrapped. There is to be no more accountability by grades or grade cards The only information received by the parents will be that their child is improving, maintaining, or slipping a bit. The standardized tests will continue to be "dumbed down" so as to indicate that children are doing well in subject matter, when in reality, there will be very little of it taught. The emphasis will be upon global community, acceptance of others, and learning tolerance for beliefs that seem different. The child will be subjected to all the belief system, and it will be drilled into his head that any belief that is not tolerant of others is wrong, that in a global community (or village), we must think as one. They will be tested periodically to be sure they respond properly to questions of this nature. In order to graduate (either from public, private, or home school setting) a "Certificate of Mastery" will be required. It will replace the outmoded diploma, and will certify that the bearer has mastered not only subject matter, but proper outlook of the global village. Not only students who are just graduating will have to get this Certificate of Mastery, however. Adults as well will be retested, and must obtain one as well. If the questions on the test are not answered properly, the student/adult is recycled through the educational system until he learns to answer them correctly. No one (regardless of age) will be allowed employment without a Certificate of Mastery when the system is in place.

America 2000 is presented as an interactive program with tremendous advantage over the state to state system. For instance, if a child should move from one state to another, he would walk right into the new classroom and take up where he left off in the old. Now what teacher wouldn't rejoice over that; indeed what parent or student alike? We are told that EVERY child is capable of achieving (untrue, but parents like to hear it), and that under this system, ALL children will be assured of achieving. The problem is WHAT the child will be achieving. They will not get specific there, but will only use extremely general and upbeat goals. The children are being "deprogrammed" away from factual knowledge and Christian beliefs, and "reprogrammed" to assimilate a robotic socialistic value system in a subjective context. Our school system is being "set up" for a most horrendous assault, and it is all being done under the guise of "progress".

Currently, however, a great deal of "deprogramming" must be done before many children can be "reprogrammed". It would be so much easier to program the child IF the child was never allowed to learn Christian values and perspectives in the first place. There is now a concerted effort …underway to require all children to be in school by the age of three. The National Education Association (NEA) and like-minded groups have constructed a system to catch everyone, and force feed them the global concepts they want us to learn. The scope of OBE is enormous. An article called Brave New Schools in Koinonia House's newsletter Personal Update summarizes it well: "These organizations have created a womb-to-tomb educational agenda packaged in modular, nice looking curricula, which are being locked into place as you read this ...."

Periodic psychologicals are given to evaluate the mental attitudes of the child, and invasive questionnaires are required which grill the child about the beliefs and punishment system being enforced upon them at home. When the national climate is right, such evidence will be used to take a child from the home of parents with "unhealthy" beliefs, etc., under the guise that it abuses the mentality of the child.

So what are the "spirit guides" called up by these children telling them? The information is the Same as that being told to the adults who consult them, that we all have God within us, that we just need to develop this consciousness! A few years ago, Shirley McClain said over and over in the movie Out on a Limb: "I am God!, I am God, I am God!", per this very concept. She was learning to develop this concept! From a New Age perspective, the development of this Christ Consciousness on a mass scale is linked to evolution, so let's take a look at that for a moment.

They believe our evolving from primates was the first step in the evolutionary process for mankind, and that evolving from this physical mindset to the spiritual utopia of Christ Consciousness is the second and final step. At that point the world will no longer have any …problems, because all minds will be in "sync" with the mind of the pantheistic supreme force. The process by which they expect to achieve this goal is called "harmonic convergence". They believe when a certain percentage (the critical mass) of the Earth's population concentrates hard enough at the same time, this quantum leap in evolution will occur instantly, and all people will be linked to the same wavelength of thought processes, being Christ Consciousness, collectively, yet individually as well. New Agers across the globe meditate and focus as the New Year approaches each year, in the hope that the critical mass will be reached this time.

Now isn't it interesting that the emphasis of New Age is in reference to this "evolutionary" process, and that on Friday 10/25/96, the media gleefully reported that the Pope now endorses evolution. A local newspaper charges the Pope with saying that new evidence has confirmed that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is "more than a hypothesis", but that creation was the work of God. This information was verified through larger more interdependent newspress as well. The  inference here was that there wasn't simply a big explosion that started the life chain, but that God created a basic substance that contained life, and from that basic substance, eventually mankind evolved.. It is the proverbial "compromise" in it's most complete form. Though sometimes …mankind sure seems to act like monkeys, it is really hard to believe that ANYONE would be susceptible to such rampant deception as to believe that we evolved from them. It is even more appalling that many CHRISTIANS are falling prey to such belief, but they are! Could the reason hinge upon our withdrawal from the Word of God? HOW TRAGIC! Desperately groping to reach that ever necessary critical mass, New Agers are doing all they can to convert others to the cause, and it is basically the Judeo-Christian mentality that stands in the way of achieving this end! They realize the condition of the average Christian today (weaned from the Word; in search of a more meaningful existence; hungering for spiritual experience), and they are using it to their advantage.  The have achieved a VERY EFFECTIVE strategy ... if they could only get those UNREASONABLE Christians to call upon and believe the spirit guides who impart these "eternal truths", AND convince them that they are not betraying God by doing so, there may be a chance ... maybe if they called these spirit guides angels ....

As Christians, we are now told that we can enhance our spiritual walk by communing with our own personal angels, and many of us are buying it. Now undiscerning Christians everywhere are calling on and praying to their own angels. If you happened to tune into PBS (our "educational" network) at the right time, you could have seen a program entitled Speaking with your Angels which told how to contact, interact with, and follow the advise of our own angels or ascended masters. They delved into many avenues of the occult, and did so with the grace of gentle smiling faces and soft tones to lull the soul into compliance with the procedures recommended. By the way, this was during the prime time slot, when we tend to allow the TV to baby-sit with our little ones, ESPECIALLY something as harmless as PBS! It's EDUCATIONAL! The seductiveness of this broadcast was incredible. The implication was that it's not against God's purpose to talk to your angels, He approves; it will help you live a more productive spiritual life! PLEASE be aware that NOWHERE in the Bible will we find that we are supposed to attempt to make contact with angels!!! ALL Biblical contacts with angels were initiated BY THE ANGELS (ultimately BY GOD). Absolutely the only contact we are encouraged to make with the spirit world at all is with God the Father through Yeshua the Son via the Holy Spirit. To do otherwise would seem to be in direct opposition to Scripture. But again, many Christians today (especially baby Christians) are (not well grounded in Scripture, and do not realize the inherent danger of such unBiblical contacts. Because he starts with a Biblical concept (angels), Satan can more easily deceive, and the ungrounded Christian is more readily duped into the snare of occultism. As the host of the angel segment implied, this simply opens a door. It's just the beginning! Each progressive step is easier and easier. Once caught up in this intricate web of deception, it is almost impossible even for someone with strong Christian motivation to escape its power and consequences.

There are literally tons of angel books on the bookstands today. Even Life magazine devoted the cover of its magazine and a large article to the topic. So who are these angels/spirit guides/"ascended masters"? During interaction with the seeker, they may sound Godly at first, (ESPECIALLY TO Christians), sidestepping all around anti Biblical teaching, (drawing the seeker into that gradually), but they all end up teaching the same principles, and they are certainly not the principles we find in God's Word! Now, what does God have to say about the dangers of embracing another gospel REGARDLESS of WHO brings it? Galatians 1:6-10; II Corinthians 11:13-15; Matthew 7:15; and II Corinthians 11:3-4 shed some light here. We'll look at them one at a time. Galatians 1:6-10 says:

Have you noticed the fascination of people today with life on other planets? The scientists and media are wanting to prove that it exists in the worst way! The movie industry has produced many film based on interterrestrial life. Alien life forms are everywhere on the screen and in our books, magazines, and newspapers. Most of the newer movies feature the aliens as being friendly (will we ever be able to forget ET?). Yet, in real life, those who claim to have been abducted or have otherwise encountered supposed extraterrestrial life forms have related the most graphic and horrifying experiences. Even non-Christian researchers have concluded that the UFO phenomenon is occult. Those who have experienced UFO phenomenon indicate severe mental and spiritual disruptions, dramatic manipulations of mental experiences, poltergeist events; the ever-present experience of missing time; mental terrorism; profound and drastic personality …changes, and according to many sources the medical experimentation is graphically sexual in nature, and there is a feeling as though one's soul is being stolen and abused in a most horrific fashion. All indications point to these alien life forms as being in reality demonic spirits. The media, however, does not report on the horrors of these interactions with aliens. Movies, etc., may use UFO as the basis of horror footage, but by and large, the media glamorizes the idea of contact with other life forms continually conditioning us to accept them as loving creatures. New Agers (the world over have eagerly sought opportunities to interact with these alien beings. A local newspaper featured a huge article recently about the migration of people to the Florida panhandle where sightings had been reported, in the hope that they might "encounter" these alien beings. Other areas where many UFO's have been reported are Mexico, and (strangely enough) Israel (particularly Jerusalem)! A recent TV newscast featured a spot about the people who flocked to a known site in Mexico in hopes of a close encounter of the "alien" kind. You see, these alien beings aren't dreaded by mankind, they are glorified, and eagerly anticipated. People seem to think they are reaching out to us, and want to assist us, that they care for us, maybe they are even gods ...

Quoting extensively from an article called A wing of Horrors Dark Angels Create an Outer Space Delusion in Prophecy in the News magazine, lets hear more about this phenomenon: "The human reception of the Anti Christ simply could not come to pass unless a deceptive lop foundation had been previously laid. Today's New Age movement is the visible portion of this groundwork. It cuts across all cultural and economic boundaries. The impoverished Mexican farmer, Hindu beggar, the Chinese laborer, the middle-class European or American, and opulent globalist king maker are all equally capable of being assimilated into the movement. In general, New Agers believe in a coming 'quantum leap' or 'paradigm shift,' in which revolutionary powers from on high will intercede in the world's normal affairs. Overnight, ? they say, the old world will pass away, as the ascended masters and ancient astronauts (angels and demons) bring the world to a final 'utopian' reality. Today, they breathlessly await the first signs of this event .... The bottom line: In clinical psychology, there is a well-known and often used therapy called 'systematic desensitization.' As the name would imply, the object of this technique is to progressively reduce one's emotional reaction to a given stimulus .... The culture of this world has been literally brainwashed to believe in the real and present existence of extraterrestrial visitors. At first, in 1947, 'flying saucers' were a distant and fleeting phenomenon. In the 1950's they buzzed airliners and police cars, leaving burned patches on the ground, as they allowed fleeting glimpses of flying saucer 'occupants.' In the 1960's they initiated the phenomenon that was later called a 'close encounter of the third kind.' This involved contact with human beings, and even abductions .... Over the years, these monsters have acquired personality ... someone you'd like to have as your next door neighbor. (You'd never have any trouble with vandals.) ... A novel written by physicist Arthur C. Clarke ... beginning with Childhood's End, written in 1953, depicted a future world in which man's problems would be solved by the arrival of an extraterrestrial force."

In his narrative, these superhuman beings are discovered to be responsible for the creation of man. Now they are returning to check on their work, and prepare man for the next great step in his evolution. Mankind is about to leave its childhood stage and become prepared for interplanetary maturity and social perfection. It turns out that these aliens from outer space are not merely man's real creators, but the shepherds of his continuing evolution. Oh, incidentally, they are described as having leathery skins, batlike wings and strange reptilian heads with horns exactly as one might picture a fallen angel. In Clarke's story, however, they are the heros. It is the story of man's final generation, just prior to a radical transformation of being. The New Age is about to dawn ..."

In reference to crop circles, the article continues: "Signals from the stars, or imprints left by evil spirits? Although many say we're about to experience contact with intergalactic ambassadors, it's more likely that we're seeing patterns inscribed by demonic hordes led by the 'prince of power of the air'. They constitute nothing more or less than a call to New Age worship."

Christians often contemplate how the Rapture will be explained when the Bride of Christ has been taken off the Earth. In Luke 21:11 Yeshua told us that there would be great signs from heaven when these things come to pass. Some recent speculation which (though entirely unfounded) is interesting and logical would be that upon our Rapture hoards of demonic spirits (posing as alien life form, and knowing the New Age mindset of the people) will convince those left behind that they sympathize with the inability of mankind to achieve their quantum evolutionary leap, and Have taken away those who stand in the way in order to reprogram them for adaptation to the global community and the New World Order. In fact, some spirit guides have indicated to their subjects that objectors to the New World Order will be evacuated by aliens for this express purpose, and the core New Age community eagerly awaits it.

We indicated that New Agers may even view these demons as gods. What or who else might they revere as deity under their broad belief system? They view Yeshua (among others) simply as a man who achieved Christ Consciousness when He was alive, and believe He was just one of many "Christs". Because they believe that "Christhood" is inherent to all humans, they accept many others as "Christs", believing that they have achieved this state of perfection. There is a "Christ" in Islam for example. Muslims are believers in the religion of Islam that is sweeping our country in an unprecedented fashion. Remember the Million Man March? Did you know that Louis Farrakhan is not just a good moral person who encourages wholesome living among our Afro-American populace, but that he is a strong sell, hard-core apostle (even prophet) of the Islam Religion? He is an American Muslim who claims to BE JESUS CHRIST. An Audio Prophecy Digest segment by David A. Lewis records the words of Farrakhan himself: "I'm hanging on a cross right now. I'm on Calvary right now. And I'm ready to go all the way. Because I know that by my stripes every one of you will be healed. You don't have to look anywhere for your Jesus. I represent him ... 75% of what you read in the Bible referring to Jesus is referring to a future man and 25% of what you read is referring to the man of 2000 years ago who is considered a type. A type is a sign of the real. But the real question is Who is Jesus? If the scholars agree that the Jesus of 2000 years ago prefigured Jesus or gave us a picture of the real Jesus, then the historical Jesus is not the real Jesus. But the real Jesus is the Messiah. The historical Jesus prefigured the Messiah, and that's why the Jews have never accepted the historical Jesus. They continue to look for the Messiah. They are not wrong. He was not born in Bethlehem of Judea, He was born in Sandersville, Georgia ... When you close the Old Testament you open the New Testament with the genealogy of Jesus. But the Old Testament closes saying Elijah is coming. God my God is coming. Then you open up with the genealogy of Jesus. So who is Jesus? Who is Elijah? Jesus and Elijah are one and the same. I am that Elijah, that was to come and now is ... (in reference to how he came to be here, he continues) ... By a small circular plane, you call it UFO, to a great mother wheel that the honorable Elijah Mohammed told us for many years was above our heads. Before you call me crazy, these wheels will be seen all over America. You will look up one day and see them and I don't want you to be terrified. They're your friends, black man."

He continued by implying that these UFO's would represent a new city coming down from heaven, a new Jerusalem.

Indeed, evangelist Perry Stone feels that the political Anti Christ may well be of Islam descent on the father's side and of Jewish descent on the mother's side, (thus being acceptable in lineage to both Muslims and Jews, and able to negotiate peace). It is interesting to note that a common form of execution used by Islamic countries today is beheading, spoken of in Revelation as a chief means by which people will be martyred during the Tribulation Period. Persecution of Christians in Sudan and many other countries with high Muslim population is at an all time high. The horror stories received by the Christian media sources, and even by some secular media sources (such as the McNeal/Lehren Report) are devastating, and the outlook for such activity to increase looks favorable. So, is Louis Farrakhan the Anti Christ? I doubt it, but he certainly is charismatic, and it might be interesting to learn more about his lineage ...

What does the Bible have to say about other Christs in our day? There may always have been some, but today it is rampant. Let's look at Matthew 24:24 and Luke 21:8:

In a segment of an Endtime magazine article, we again find Maitreya (the New Age version of Christ acknowledged by Benjamin Creme per earlier notation in this study). The segment is captioned "Lord Maitreya promoted as Messiah". The author of the article had interviewed Monte Leach, the U.S. editor of Share International. A portion of the article read as follows: "... Leach spoke about the soon appearance of Lord Maitreya who, he says is the embodiment of all the world's great teachers. He said Maitreya will return for the Christians as Jesus, the Muslims as the Imam Mahdi, the Hindus as a reincarnation of Krishna and for the Jews as the Messiah. Mr. Leach said that it is the responsibility of the media to help Maitreya become Visible to the world. According to Leach, Maitreya has recently been invited to appear on American television and that it could air very soon. Full page ads have already been run several times in major newspapers seeking to acquaint the world with Lord Maitreya and proclaiming him to be Messiah."

Even the tabloids are keyed in on Messiah. Sun boldly proclaims the headline JESUS IS BACK!, and follows with "Widespread sightings reported across nation". (The same issue speaks of a 3000 pound prehistoric man being unearthed.)
