THE SILVER CORD

(NOAH'S DAY RETURNS - APPENDIX D)

An examination of metaphysical anatomy is extremely interesting. Again we acknowledge that this area of study falls indisputably within the realm of speculation. With this understanding firmly in place, let us proceed to explore this avenue. It is a commonly accepted principle of metaphysics that every human has what is known as an astral body. It is body which is invisible to the human eye, but perfectly depicting the physical body of the individual. This etheric body surrounds the physical one. The energies of this body are often referred to as the aura. It is referred to as the soul body or the phantom body. The purpose of the soul and its astral body is to clothe (i.e. comfort, secure, and warm) the spirit.

Within the world of the occult, we find that many have been taught to use this astral body effectively to travel to other locations and realms of existence while the physical body awaits its return in a type of comatose existence. This is referred to as astral travel. The astral body has no blood, and can easily pass through walls and other physical obstacles without hindrance. It travels at incredible speeds throughout time and space as we know it. The astral body can appear to people in one location while the physical body is across the globe in another. The astral body is in every respect identical in feature, and easily recognized as the body of the person from whom it originated. Yet the astral body is not free of its physical body in existence. It is linked by what is known as a silver cord which extends from the navel of the physical body to join to the soul's astral body. As long as this silver cord is attached, the astral body remains linked to the physical body. Only when God deems the finality of physical death does He allow the silver cord to disintegrate, freeing the astral body and its soul to exist separately from the physical body. Then after God allows the silver cord to disintegrate, the physical body will begin to deteriorate. It is said that the silver cord has even remained in tact for three to four days after death has been pronounced.

Many of us have heard the remarkable stories of the out-of-body experience of others, particularly when the person involved is teetering on the verge of death. This is easily explained by astral travel. As the physical body is about to die, the astral body and its soul draw forth from the body, complete with accute mental ability and awareness. Often those having "near death experiences" look down in wonder at their own physical body as it is being attended by physicians, desperately trying to restore a heartbeat, etc. Many times the doctors will pronounce a person dead because all brain waves and bodily functions which dictate the "standards of life" in the medical realm have ceased. However, moments, or even hours later, the person returns to life, baffling the minds of these learned physicians! The explanation is actually rather simple. The silver cord was never severed, and the soul and astral body of the individual have returned to the physical body, again reactivating the physical functions which only moments before had been declared nonexistent. Many have said they were sent back to their physical bodies, being told that it was "not yet time" for them to proceed to the next life.

Many oppose the validity of God's Word by siting the Scriptural passage of Hebrews 9:27 where it tells us that "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:". They then refer to John 11:1-46 where Yeshua raises Lazarus. They then point out that he died again, saying he died twice, which would prove that Hebrews 9:27 is in error. In actuality, it is the manner in which John 11 is related that is questionable here. Please note that in verse 4 of this passage that Yeshua specifically says that "this sickness is NOT unto death, but for the glory of God, that the son of God might be glorified thereby". Later in verse 11 He tells His disciples, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep". Yet in verse 14, He tells them that Lazarus is dead. Now would Yeshua contradict himself in this manner? I don't think so. If He said that the sickness Lazarus had was "not unto death", then Lazarus never truly died. Otherwise Yeshua had lied in verse 4. It becomes obvious that what is meant here, is that Lazarus has been "deemed" dead by those who determined the point of death in these days. At the time Yeshua asks that the stone be removed from his tomb, Martha assumes that he will stink because "he hath been dead four days".

Now Yeshua was about to create a shadow of the power of God over death. This shadow would be fulfilled by the death of Yeshua, and His resurrection unto eternal life. Just as the shadow of the sacrifice of the Son of God was played out in the story of Abraham and Isaac, we see the same type of shadow occurring here. In like manner, the shadow was considered complete with Abraham and Isaac though Abraham's hand was stayed, and Isaac was not actually slain. Likewise here, we find that the shadow was complete, though Lazarus was not dead by God's standards, rather only by man's. Because only God the Father determines when the silver cord will be broken, and death actually occurs within the physical body, the silver cord of Lazarus had never been broken! Thus, when Yeshua prayed to the Father, and called to Lazarus, the silver cord was drawn back to the body, and his physical being was revived. He came forth, and no mention is made of this stinking and/or any deterioration of his body whatsoever.

Careful consideration of this matter would conclude without a doubt this must be correct. It would be opposed to the laws of creation to reattach a silver cord to a physical body once the cord had been severed and deterioration had begun! Neither he nor the widow's son in I Kings 17 who was raised by Elijah were raised to resurrected eternal life, but rather revived for earthly existence. Indeed the silver cords of these who were considered to be dead were never severed, and they only endured ONE death, which occurred later after their revived bodies continued in this earthly existence a while longer.

Now, we have an interesting scenario to consider regarding the death of Yeshua. If our previous assertion is correct that Yeshua did not have a navel, and the silver cord is the ethereal version of the umbilical cord, extending from the navel, then Yeshua did not have a silver cord! Thus when his body was deemed dead, his astral body and soul was free to go with no attachment to the physical body whatsoever; free to go about His business, such as declaring the captives free! Hallelujah!!! Because there was no cord attached to the body, it was truly dead by standards of God AND man. However, because no silver cord was connected to His physical body to disintegrate and trigger the deterioration process of the physical body, His body was perfectly preserved. When Yeshua reclaimed it three days hence, it was just as it was when he left it! Thus His preserved blood will contain the perfected seed of Abraham for use in the Millennial Kingdom.

When this body of our Lord was taken up again in life, death was truly defeated, and Yeshua became the very literal First Fruit of the dead. We too will receive eternal life as Believers, "every man in his own order" (I Corinthians 15:23). The word "order" here means (a series by categorical arrangement)! First we have Christ, and the Barley First Fruits of the resurrected dead when Christ arose, then we have the First Fruits of the Wheat Harvest (the living; the Bride), and then the Ingathering Wheat Rapture (the balance of Believers, both dead and alive when it is time to gather before the Bema Judgment Seat). His order is perfect. We praise you Father!
